BORMEngineers provides structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services for the residential and commercial markets. The firm currently operates out of 10 locations: CALIFORNIA (Irvine, Pleasanton, Roseville, Sacramento), NEVADA (Las Vegas), ARIZONA, (Phoenix, Tucson), COLORADO (Denver), & CHINA (Beijing). In operation since 1981, BORM has gained a reputation for its highly esteemed value engineering program, quality structural drawings, timely turnaround of projects and excellent client services.
BORM’s vast array of services include value engineering, design of wood frame and light gauge steel engineering, post-tensioned foundation, structural observation and peer review for single-family tract homes, multifamily residential, including mixed-use, apartments, condominiums, senior & assisted housing, educational/university, military housing (on-grade and podium), commercial/retail centers, office & industrial buildings, hospitality, and hotels/motels/extended stays. Not only are we acutely aware of initial costs of construction but also are cognizant of long-term project durability and serviceability.
The firm is licensed in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, Hawaii, Utah and Washington. Its more than 175 employees are also very active and hold numerous memberships in the industry including, NAHB, Building Industry Association, Home Builders Council, Senior Housing Council, Women’s Council, North American Steel Alliance, American Steel Institute, Light Gauge Steel Engineers Association, ACCA, SEAOC, ASHRAE, ASPE, American Society of Civil Engineers and many others.
During the course of the past 25 years, BORM has contributed its time, knowledge and expertise to the industry in a myriad of ways, including volunteer design work and construction expertise for Home Aid, Habitat for Humanity, Make-A-Wish Foundation and ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The Principals of the firm, Masoud Bokaie, S.E, and George Richards, P.E., and their staff, have also spent countless hours providing educational seminars for clients on engineering design guidelines, building code updates, construction administration and quality control parameters and consulted as expert witnesses.
